Facilitated by local actors and filmmakers Asher Godson-King and Stephanie LJ Linley.
Asher has spent over a decade as an artist, movement and yoga trainer, breathwork guide, and personal development coach. With his wide range of experience, Asher brings a truly unique and holistic approach to actor training.
Stephanie’s teachings are shaped by her own journey as a student and a passion for exploring what it means to live authentically within an imaginary scenario, finding genuine connection with your scene partner, and ultimately creating powerful, character-driven storytelling that moves and inspires audiences.
"Together, we're both passionate about the film industry and bringing it closer to home, as well as supporting emerging actors in their craft and careers. Our mission is to guide you into building the skills, confidence, and connections needed to master the fundamentals of acting, secure representation and thrive beyond the self-tape."
Each session at the Lab blends foundational acting principles with body, breath, and presence work, creating a space where authentic listening, instinctive responses, and truthful connection naturally unfold. You’ll sharpen your skills through a new found self awareness while exploring your creative edge in a supportive environment. The focus is always on returning to the fundamentals, staying present, available, and alive in every moment.

Sunshine Coast Actors Lab exists to bring artists together in a space that inspires exploration, collaboration, and bold creativity. I created this Lab out of a passion to connect with fellow actors and offer something beyond the surface-level workshop model — a place where we can break new ground together.
Here, the focus is on strengthening the fundamentals that keep our work honest. Drawing from eastern practices of breath, movement, and presence, combined with structured acting techniques, the Lab is both grounding and freeing.
This is a space to take risks, to step into new roles, to give and receive feedback, and to grow as both individuals and as a collective of storytellers. More than anything, it’s about creating an empowering environment where actors feel supported, challenged, and motivated to stretch their artistry further than they thought possible.
The Sunshine Coast Actors Lab is more than a training space to me.
It’s a community where actors can grow in both craft and confidence.
My teachings are shaped by my own journey as a student and a passion for exploring what it means to live authentically within an imaginary scenario, finding genuine connection with your scene partner, and ultimately creating powerful, character-driven storytelling that moves and inspires audiences.
I believe in self-awareness, collaboration, and the importance of creating from a place of authenticity. At the Lab, my goal is to build an environment where actors feel supported to take risks, explore their creativity, and push beyond what they think they’re capable of. Together, we’re creating a space that nurtures artistry and inspires real growth both on screen and within ourselves.
